Terms & Conditions
All bookings are for a single occupancy of a room during the course period. Three meals a day are provided with lunch and the evening meal being in the village. All rooms have king-size or bigger beds with private en-suite facilities. Check-in times on the first day is from 4-7pm although earlier or later check-ins can be arranged subject to commitments of the hosts concerned. Checkout on the last day is 10am.
An initial deposit of £100 is due at the time of booking and a position on the retreat is not confirmed until this has been received. The remainder of the retreat fee is due on or before 8 weeks prior to your Retreat. Please indicate if you would like to pay for the entire course at the time of booking for simplicity and budgeting.
Correspondence is principally via email. Please ensure you email system can receive emails from email@example.com
You may cancel your booking any time up to 8 weeks before your Retreat with the forfeit of the £50 deposit. Thereafter the full cost of the retreat will be due. This is inline with our cancellation policy of our Guesthouse businesses.
Our GDPR Statement
In May, 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect which regulates what personal information is collected, stored and used for marketing purposes. At the Journal Jabbering Retreat we have strict policies related to the storage and use of our guests data which runs in parallel with our Guesthouse policies.
What Personal data do we collect?
When you book a place on one of our courses your full name along with home address, email and contact number(s) will be taken via the website or phone booking. This data is used purely to assist ourselves in understanding where our participants are located and to stay in touch prior to, and If you agree, after the retreat you have attended.
We will not sell, distribute, lease or release your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
We use social media to inform our past guests of events or special offers and periodically send emails to announce new products or features or with return visit enticements. Guests have the option to opt out of our marketing programs when they stay with us and at anytime when they receive an email.
